Roasted Leg of Turkey

Good morning dear friends  today I thought of sharing with you another quick and inexpensive meal.Roasted Leg of Turkey with Oven Rice  I will never get  tired of sharing with you all the variety of meals we can make with very little expense. The turkey meat is healthy, gives for numerous variations and costs so little! With a leg of turkey accompanied with oven rice and arugula salad can serve 4.

try it out:: 


1 leg of turkey (about 800g)

400g of rice

1 onion

2 garlic cloves

150g bacon

Salt, pepper to taste

Olive oil 

1 lemon

1 dl white wine

2 beers

1 strand of rosemary, parsley

1 bay leaf


Wash and cut the turkey leg into 2 pieces and place them in a recipient, then cut the onion into pieces and crush the garlic cloves. To this add salt, pepper, bay leaf, wine and lemon juice. Mix well, and season the meat, letting it stand for one hour. Add the two bears into the marinade and let the turkey meat absorb the marinade mixture for another 20 minutes .Place turkey leg inside a tray, drizzle with olive oil and some of the marinade sauce . Take the preparation to the preheated oven at 180º C for 1 & 1/2 hour turning the meat and watering it with the marinated sauce from time to time.. Finally, serve this dish decorated to taste, and accompany with the rice.

 Oven Rice:


100 gr bacon

Olive oil 3 table spoons

Garlic to taste

1 small onion

3 cups (tea) rice


Chop the bacon onion, garlic into small pieces and place in pot, add olive oil and fry until golden Drain the fat. Finally add the rice and 8 cups of watered down marinade that was used for marinating the turkey leg, cook for ten minutes. Place in a oven dish and introduce in the oven for another 15 minutes, serve together with turkey.
